Prep Coat is a concentrated organic surfactant that breaks the surface tension of water-born chemicals allowing them to flow freely over plastics and glass. If water does not flow evenly (sheet) over the surface, the mirroring chemicals will not deposit evenly. This is often called 'the water break test.' This product replaces Wetting Agent.

  • Prep Coat allows you to silver an object without flame treating it. Flame (plasma) treating ensures better adhesion but it is not required. See Flaming the Base Coat
