Tin for Silver Concentrate
Tin for Silver, also known as "sensitizer" or "tinning solution", creates an invisible chemical bond between the silver and the glass. This bond causes the silver to deposit evenly and adhere to the surface.
You must sensitize the surface with Tin for Silver or Sensitizer for 2-Part Silver before silvering.
You can use Tin for Silver with any of of our silvering chemicals:
- Pouring Silver Ready-To-Use
- Pouring Silver Concentrate
- 3-Part Spray Silver Concentrate
- 2-Part Spray Silver Concentrate

Shelf Life Note
If the concentrated Tin for Silver looks yellow, it has oxidized and will no longer sensitize the glass. If it looks clear but has a white precipitate at the bottom of the bottle, it is still good. Do NOT shake the bottle. The precipitate will not re-dissolve and shaking adds air to the mix which shortens its shelf life.
We recommend freezing or refrigerating Tin for Silver to prolong its shelf life. Allow it to warm to room temperature before using. Do not warm it in a microwave.
