Glue Chipping Glass

Glue chipping allows you to selectively texture glass.

To make this sign, Danny Baronian glue chipped the background, left the foreground smooth and Angel Gilded the entire piece.
To glue chip the glass:

  1. Roughen the glass by sandblasting or diamond etching
  2. Melt and apply the hide glue
  3. As the glue dries, it peels off part of the glass
  4. See How To Glue Chip Glass for complete instructions.
